monica and i have been busy and have taken a quick break from weddings and engagements to join our family and friends with their special events. as many of you know, it's also graduation season. check our Linsey, Normarie, Ray and Vedalyn.
we also attended a Baptism, a Picnic, a friend getting Mortified and a Wedding Shower... all that in about 3 weekends. whew..!!
this upcoming long weekend, monica and i will be going to a small island and just "chillax". we want to do everything and nothing. how awesome is that? so... just sit tight cause wedding season is in full blast and we'll have a TON of wedding eye candy for you guys when we come back.

recently, we've been getting more and more questions about "post processing." we then reply saying that every single image taken receives a custom "makeover." individual images go through a rigorous change in temperature color, exposure, shadow, brightness, contrast, saturation and curve. from there, we're able to transform "nice photos" into "wow photos!"
but it's really hard to visualize what we're talking about. so... just look at the examples below.

from top to bottom: opened pocket book, four pocket books, two 8" x 12" parent albums, super cool metallic 9.5" x 13" primary album and yes, a briefcase. it keeps your primary album safe and sound.
this is the very modern 9.5 x 13" "metallic" primary album standing tall in its briefcase. by metallic, we mean it has a metal cover with metallic pages. we included a generic CD in the images for size reference. seriously, pictures don't do it justice! gotta see it in person to get the full effect of its awesomeness...
below are hardbound parent albums. most couples order two of these... one for each side of the family. all of the graphi albums (no matter what size) open flat like so.
these are 4 x 5" pocketbook albums, which can be ordered in sets of multiple copies. why order so many? these are great for giving to bridesmaids/groomsmen, grandparents, sponsors, friends, relatives, out-of-town guests, etc. they make the coolest gifts!

as typical as it is for most of our clients to want to include sf or at least a landmark of sf in the backdrop, this couple was the exception. angela and paul told us they don't care too much for the city and are much more outdoorsy and sporty. we decided on pt. reyes for the quaint town which is far from the hectic, harried, cosmopolitan lifestyle and includes great views of the ocean not too far away. what a great way to spend a leisurely sunday with such spectacular weather...
our first stop included a stroll through the "downtown" area of first street. tiny little shops peppered the street, with names that include at least one word of "organic," "natural," or "healing" it seems. seems like this town hadn't seen such excitement in awhile as onlookers paused to take a look at this gorgeous couple who everyone could tell are total lovebirds. and after our brief tour of the main hub of the town, we set out for drakes beach. of course, our driving trips to each destination always include pulling over to do "just one more shot" when we see something interesting along the way.
instead of being able to finally relax and enjoy the beach, we hiked up a steep trail to capture some fantastic overview shots of the coast. (did i mention paul did all of this after just having had surgery on his leg?) finally at the beach, we got a chance to play around with the very flat and slightly damp sand, on which paul neatly wrote "plan a," which signifies their commitment to one another in this life and ditching any other alternative plans.
