what a jam-packed and eventful day quyen & steve enjoyed for their wedding day! if wedding planning and a busy work schedule wouldn't keep anyone busy enough, the lovely twosome also just purchased a new home together. =) the wedding celebration commenced with a traditional chinese tea ceremony to honor steve's chinese background at their brand spankin' new pad before heading to santa maria parish in orinda. their beautiful ceremony included many tender and emotional moments.
just before their reception, we took advantage of the sunny skies and made a stop at the bollinger canyon waterfall for photos with their bridal party. we had some time just before their cocktail hour to photograph the couple and their entourage at the reception at bridges golf club before they were swept away to their receiving line to take same-day printed photo favors with each guest, which is a tradition of quyen's vietnamese heritage.
everyone enjoyed a fabulous party at their reception, which included heartfelt speeches from each of their attendants and of their fathers. this entire day was captured so beautifully by their awesome videographers, the famous canadian-based cinematographers of stillmotion. you can even catch their surprise same-day edited video debuted at the reception at the end of this entry. (try to find the ed pingol photography team in a couple of the clips! )
congratulations on your wedding, quyen & steve! hope you had a terrific time in thailand. =)

marjorie & eric had a gorgeous day for a wedding! with such inclement weather expected in april, they were blessed with perfect weather on their special day. we spent most of the day's events at the marriott, where the lovely bride prepared, which was also the ceremony site and the reception venue. (i love same-site weddings!) before the ceremony, the beautiful couple met for their first glance meeting and photos with their bridal party at the bollinger canyon waterfall in san ramon.
it was such pleasure to see familiar faces of their entourage and guests, who are uc davis graduates whom i've known since the days i spent on the campus and also from weddings of eric's fellow alumni. their outside ceremony was a memorable and heartfelt union followed by a delightful and lively reception!
congratulations on your wedding, marj & eric. we hope you both enjoyed plenty of r&r on your honeymoon. =)

the san francisco city hall is a venue that is near and dear to my heart since this is the place monica and i were wed. marissa & erwin shared their vows on a beautiful friday morning in an intimate ceremony, witnessed by their parents. the wedding turned out to be SO meaningful because they took out the bells and whistles to really concentrate on what a wedding means to them. it was simply a happy celebration of their love for one another, the joining of both families and afterwards, partying with friends. which, when you boil everything down... it's exactly what a wedding is supposed to be!
this lovely couple was still able to include an entourage of bridesmaids and groomsmen, those who they hold near and dear to their heart. we took photos just outside the civic center, which its gorgeous architecture. their reception included a beautiful luncheon at shangai 1930 in san francisco with the rest of their family and friends. it was a blast!
congratulations, marissa & erwin! i'm so honored to have captured your big day!
